Local Conservatives have selected Old Rayne resident, Patricia Oddie as their candidate for the West Garioch Ward for the council elections in May.
Commenting on her selection Patricia Oddie said:
“I’m delighted to have been selected to contest the West Garioch Ward at the Council election in May.
“The West Garioch Ward is a large and diverse ward containing the communities of Insch, Kemnay, Old Rayne, Oyne, Chapel of Garioch, Auchleven, Whiteford, Durno, Meikle Wartle, Pitcaple, as well as the rural households in-between.
“I am seeking election to Aberdeenshire Council to give our community a strong voice on the Council and to make sure that our communities gets the services and attention that they need. A major part of being a good local councillor is listening to the concerns and views of local residents and in the coming weeks I will be knocking on doors and trying to meet as many local residents as possible.”
North East Scottish Conservative MSP, Dr Nanette Milne said:
“It is fantastic to welcome Patricia to the team of Scottish Conservative candidates working for Aberdeenshire.
“Patricia is well known and well liked across the area and is already known as someone who works within the local community.
“I look forward to campaigning alongside Patricia in the run up to the Council Elections in May and hope that local people will get behind Patricia and help to elect her as the new Conservative councillor for West Garioch.
