Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has welcomed the announcement by First Scotrail of an expanded timetable for rail services across the North East.
Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“This is a welcome expansion in the train timetable for communities across the North East.
“Many constituents have highlighted the need for additional train services on Sunday’s and having raised these points with First Scotrail I am delighted that they have announced a significant increase in both calls at stations as well as additional services.
“I also hope that further consideration will be given to providing one off additional rail services or additional carriages for individual sporting events when large numbers of fans are travelling from the North East.
“The re-opening of stations such as Laurencekirk has clearly been a great success and can only help make the case for the campaign to re-open Kintore station.”
