Commenting on the SNP Scottish Government’s budget Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“The SNP have once again delivered a budget for the central belt of Scotland with little good news for the North East.
“North East Colleges have faced some of the largest cuts under the SNP – a situation which has impacted on the future opportunities of young folk across the North East.
“Following the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement, the UK Conservative Government provided the SNP Scottish Government with £331m in extra capital funding to deliver key infrastructure projects.
“The First Minister stated prior to the Autumn Statement that “these significant projects including the Inverurie Health Centre and Community Maternity Unit, could get under way now, rather than being delayed”.
“To date we have heard nothing from the First Minster or his SNP Ministers on when they will make available the funding needed to take forward the NHS Grampian capital investment projects.”
