Following the announcement that Scottish Tourist Information Centres will receive additional resources announce following the UK Government’s Autumn Statement, Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has called on the Scottish Government to provide North East Tourist Information Centres with a fair share of funding.
Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“Following the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement the UK Conservative Government provide SNP Ministers with £331m in extra capital funding, the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, John Swinney MSP announced that £7m will be made available to help improve improve visitor facilities, tourism information centers, and tourist signage.
“Tourism continues to develop as a major economic growth area in Scotland and in the North East in particular, where we have a wealth of attractions, historic sites, outstanding scenery.
“I have written to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, John Swinney MSP to make sure that the North East receive our fair share of funding.”
