Commenting on the start of two-day hearing on the AWPR by the Supreme Court, Dr Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“North East residents have been waiting for the construction of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route for over thirty years.
“The Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route is vital to the economy of the North East.
“The case against the AWPR has now been rejected twice by judges in Scotland and I hope we will see a similar ruling by the Supreme Court.
“It is time to put the delay to the construction of the road behind us and for work to commence on this vital infrastructure project.”
