North East MSP, Nanette Milne has sought assurances regarding the future of Post Office services in Tarland. Following news that sadly due to ill health, the sub-postmistress is no longer able to maintain a Post Office service and has resigned. The branch will close on 11 February.
Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said, “It is very sad news that sadly due to ill health, the sub-postmistress is no longer able to maintain a Post Office service and has had to resign. I am sure the whole community would wish her well for the future. ‘I have been assured by Post Office Limited that it is their intention to keep a Post Office in Tarland and that although they will have to operate reduced opening times they are currently investigating all options available to provide a future sustainable Post Office service for the community.”
