North East MSP Alex Johnstone had to be up early on Monday morning to meet the posties at the Royal Mail’s Laurencekirk sorting office before they went out on their rounds. The visit was organised by the Royal Mail as part of their annual programme designed to keep elected politicians up to date with the organisation and in contact with staff on the sorting room floor.
Speaking after the visit, Alex Johnstone said, “It’s great to meet the Royal Mail staff at this, their busiest time of the year and hear how they’re getting on. I also share their delight that there has been, so far, no repeat of the difficult weather conditions which they had to put up with at this time last year.”
