Mearns
Tracey has lived near Fordoun with her family for the last two decades and has been active in the community for almost as long. A main part of her volunteer work has been 7 years on Aberdeenshire Council’s children’s panel.
However, she is best known locally for being one of the founders and former chair of ‘Save our Mearns’, the main local campaigning group supporting residents concerned about SSEN’s pylon and substation plans for the area.
Her campaigning on the pylons involved the handing over of a petition backed by 3,300 people to the Scottish Parliament.
She was elected to Council at the Council by-election on the 7th November and works alongside Cllr George Carr.
