Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East has expressed her concern for local high streets after it was announced that Clydesdale Bank plan to close branches in Aberdeen Bridge of Don, Aberdeen Woodside, and Bucksburn.
Nanette Milne, Scottish Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“This is yet another blow to local high streets across Scotland.
“These closures will mean my constituents having to travel larger distances to locate another suitable branch and it will also have a direct impact on jobs in the local community as well as the services provide to local businesses.
“It’s vital that any changes and closures to banks take into consideration the local community and the customers who regularly use the banks.
“I have written to Clydesdale Bank to ask what support it will be providing to customers in the communities affected and whether the bank will consider providing a mobile branch for these communities.”
