Before getting involved in Politics, Tess had International senior management team experience in Oil & Gas. Her career includes roles as Board Director Shell Renewables; Vice President, Shell International and HR Director, Centrica. After moving to the North-East, Tess began to get involved in Politics. She campaigned throughout the North-East, was Deputy Chair Aberdeenshire Conservatives, and remains Hon. VP of Dundee SCU Association. She has lived and worked in Aberdeen City, lives in the Mearns, stood as a candidate in Dundee in GE19 and again in SP21, so is perfectly positioned to represent the North-East.
As a wife, mother, sister of two NHS nurses and carer to elderly parents with dementia, she knows first-hand the pressure on public services. And as Karate Black Belt, she has the mental mindset and resilience to take on the SNP.
Tess White MSP has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the North-East Region since being elected in May 2021. She is currently the Shadow Minister for Public Health, Women’s Health and Sport, and is a member of the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee at Holyrood. She convenes the Cross-Party Group on Credit Unions and is a member of the Disability, Mental Health, Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Cross Party Groups. She formerly served as the Party’s Junior Whip.
In our Region, Tess likes to work hand in hand with our Councillors and you will no doubt see her out and about at village fayres, supporting local businesses, talking about Resilience Planning at our Community Councils or campaigning about Safety.
“I believe in hard work creating opportunities - in top quality education for all, accessible healthcare with improved mental health provision, safe streets and in a strong and growing economy fuelled by investment, job creation and innovation.”
Together we must protect the Union and power up the North-East.
